Happy 1st birthday!

I turned one today, April 21, 2010. Happy 1st birthday to moi!

It seems like yesterday that I made my grand entrance to the world after a 38-week stay at my then comfy home inside mommy's tummy. I still remember how I got things rolling the night of April 19, 2009 to let everyone know I was ready to move out, and finally saw the light of day the morning of April 21, 2009. My vision was a bit blurry, but it was my first time enjoying fresh air and a bright warm sunny day.

Today, I woke up in my crib and saw the same nice weather clearly through the window of my room. A few minutes later, daddy and mommy came in and greeted me with "happy birthday", hugs and kisses. Then, I saw daiyeema Vicki when mommy brought me into the bedroom downstairs. I thought to myself, "Wait, isn't daiyeema supposed to be in mommy's laptop? Why is she here?" Apparently, she had flown all the way from Hong Kong to visit and arrived the night before while I was fast asleep. After a few minutes of re-acquaintance, I was already playing with daiyeema like buddies and biting on the jingle-jangle of her camera. Then around 9am, Nanny May showed up our door with a bunch of colorful balloons and a birthday cake. I wasn't sure what those were all about but I was so fascinated by the Mickey balloon that I couldn't help but started kissing it.

After breakfast and a nice warm bath, I put on my birthday outfit and started playing with my favorite toys. Too bad, daddy had to work that day. But before he left, he gave me a funny toy called Clipo Hippo. I loved taking out and chewing on the pieces (especially that bright yellow chick chick), and knocking down the houses and castles built by mommy, hehe. As for mommy, she bought me my first tricycle, a Kettler Oceana. She said when I grew older I could go pedaling with style in the park. But for now, she or daddy will have to push me :)

In the afternoon, mommy took everyone out for a dim sum lunch where I had my first taste of the roast pork bun. Well, I didn't actually have any roast pork but the bun tasted yummy.

The highlight of my day had to be the birthday song and cake-cutting.

With all my favorite people around, birthday balloons and a tasty mango mousse cake, what more do I need to add to this perfect day?

Thank you so much everyone. I love you all!!!
